Schumacher crashes in Brazil

Michael Schumacher may lose ten positions on the Brazilian Grand Prix grid this weekend after totalling his race car in a practice session crash. Schumacher lost control of his Ferrari in turn six and caused significant damage to his car. If his engine is damaged and can't be transferred to the spare Ferrari then Schumacher will get a ten position grid penalty. Ferrari technical chief Ross Brawn told reporters at Interlagos immediately after the session. "We may have to use the T-car which would put us 10 positions back on the grid." Schumacher crashed just two minutes from the end of the session and finished second to team mate Rubens Barrichello. Despite the heavy crash, Schumacher walked from the wreck unaided. F1Racing.net
