The Verizon IndyCar Series will host a test day that is free and open to the public at Phoenix International Raceway on Friday, February 10.

Some of the best drivers in America will come to Phoenix this Friday, and you can watch them for free. The Verizon IndyCar Series is holding its first all-league testing day at Phoenix International Raceway, and it is free and open to the public.

The second annual “Prix View" day runs from noon to 7 p.m. on Feb. 10. Fans can relax in the PIR grandstands and watch two different IndyCar test sessions. The first takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the second is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Between the on-track activity, there will be a driver autograph session from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Fans who want to get autographs need to pick up a free wristband from the PIR booth on the track’s Fan Midway. Wristbands will be handed out beginning right when gates open at noon and will be available while supplies last.

Friday will be the first opportunity fans anywhere in the United States have to watch all of IndyCar’s 2017 drivers in on-track action. Every team competing this year will be participating in the test day, so motorsports fans can check out the entire grid and possibly meet their favorite driver.

The roster includes current IndyCar champion Simon Pagenaud, four-time IndyCar champion Scott Dixon, reigning Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi, and fan favorite Helio Castroneves.

You’ll also be able to see drivers who are making their debuts with new teams. Carlos Munoz (pictured above) is starting out with A.J. Foyt Racing, Sebastien Bourdais and Ed Jones with Dale Coyne Racing, and Josef Newgarden joining Team Penske.

Concession stands will be open for attendees to purchase food and drinks also on the Fan Midway, and fans will have the ability to buy tickets to watch the actual IndyCar race.

The 2017 Phoenix Grand Prix takes place on Saturday, Apr. 29. Tickets range from $35 to $70 and can also be bought online.

If you’re an IndyCar fan you can’t pass up this free opportunity to get your first look at all of the drivers who will compete this year, all in one place. You can see how your favorite driver is doing and get a read on how the grid is shaping up for a highly competitive season.

And if you’re not an IndyCar fan this is your chance to become one. IndyCar has some of the best drivers in the world, with great personalities on top of remarkable talent. It could be the best kept secret in motorsports. Consider checking out “Prix View" and finding a new league to love this season.
