Truex, Jr. fails post-race inspection

NASCAR announced that Martin Truex Jr.'s Tanger Factory Outlet Centers third-place car failed the Laser Inspection Station after Saturday night's race at Richmond International Raceway. Any penalty to Truex would not impact his points entering the Chase since it is considered to occur before the points are reset. NASCAR announced after Saturday's race that the cars of winner Denny Hamlin, Larson, Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle will go back to the R&D Center for regular post-race inspection there. NBC Sports
