Kyle Busch Sweeps Sprint Cup Practice at Bristol

Kyle Busch swept both of Friday’s Sprint Cup practice sessions for Saturday night’s Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Busch topped the opening session with a lap of 14.878 seconds (128.969 mph), then came right back out and paced the second session, turning in a lap of 14.796 seconds (129.684 mph).

Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin ran second in the first practice, followed by Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Aric Almirola.

In the second session, Martin Truex, Jr. was second-quickest ahead of Matt Kenseth, Ryan Blaney and Hamlin.
