Sunday morning update from Road America (2nd Update)

UPDATE The rain has just about stopped. We now have an 8:20 am central time start for warmups and the session has been shortened from 30 min. to 20 min. Given the radar map shows the rain will stop 2 hours before the race time, and hence we will have a dry race, why risk crashing the car on a wet track in warmups? If we are a team manager we are skipping morning warmup. We shall see what transpires. Mark C. reporting from Road America.

06/26/16 We are on hold waiting for the arrival of the medical helicopter. The ceiling is too low for the helicopter to fly right now, so perhaps we won't have a warm-up session until just before the race, and hopefully after the track dries….if it dries. Mark C. reporting from a very wet Road America

06/26/16 It is a soggy race morning here in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The rain started falling early this morning and is currently falling pretty heavily. IndyCar warmup is scheduled for 8 am central time this morning. Although the rain is predicted to stop around 10 am, it is not looking like it will stop soon. We doubt many teams will run warmup in the wet unless they think the rain won't stop in time for the race. If we get a wet race, the teams have no setup data for that since the weekend so far has been dry and perfect.

We will update you as the morning unfolds. Lucille Dust reporting from Road America
