Rio Haryanto has admitted that his future at Manor remains unclear, and cannot be certain that he will finish the current Formula 1 campaign with the outfit.

Haryanto graduated from GP2 with both personal backing and support from Indonesia's government in order to secure a Formula 1 seat with Manor, alongside Pascal Wehrlein.

Haryanto is still attempting to raise funds and was asked by the official Formula 1 website when he could be sure of finishing the 2016 season with Manor.

"I have no answer for that right now," he replied.

"I will give my best and of course the funds are an issue – but this is handled by my management so that I can fully concentrate on racing.

"Actually the question with the funds is not within my hands – I just want to deliver on track to make me a good candidate. No question, I would like to stay and finish the season here."

Haryanto also added that finishing a race in the top 10 would be "magical" for Manor, as it bids to score points for only the second time in its history.

"Points would be magical – of course," he said.

"I think the car has improved a lot compared to last year, so that on one or other occasion – when things go wrong for others – we should have a chance.

"Scoring points… that would just be like winning!"
