Yesterday's Grand Prix of Indianapolis was an opportunity for fans to "see all of the work done" during the $92M Project 100 to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The project was "a major overhaul" of IMS and its surroundings that began in '14.

The bold steel canopy "topped with 'Indianapolis Motor Speedway' in large letters was a fan favorite, and the open space just in front of the gate was a popular spot for selfies and group photos."

New seating, new concessions, new restrooms and new suites "can be found in the front straightaway."

Despite the "whipping winds and cool temperatures, some fans sitting in the new hunter green seats in the upper deck called the experience 'night and day' when compared to the bleachers." Indianapolis Star
