Brittany Force (Top Fuel), Jack Beckman (Funny Car), Jason Line (Pro Stock) and Eddie Krawiec (Pro Stock Motorcycle) led the opening day of qualifying for Sunday's Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
Force powered her Monster Energy dragster to a 3.745-second pass at 309.56 mph to earn the qualifying lead over Antron Brown, who took second with time of 3.755 at 319.07. Beckman, meanwhile, bested both the track Funny Car ET and speed records with a run of 3.913 seconds at 323.74 mph in the second round to move to the top of the ladder over teammate Ron Capps and Courtney Force.
In Pro Stock, Line took the qualifying lead in Pro Stock with a 6.596 at 210.01 in his Summit Racing Equipment Chevy Camaro over both teammates Greg Anderson and Bo Butner, currently in second and third respectively.
Krawiec raced to the provisional lead in the two-wheeled category season-opener with a 6.808 at 197.71, topping Chip Ellis and teammate Andrew Hines.
Qualifying continues on Saturday with final eliminations set to begin Sunday at 11am.
