After a heavy overnight rain the weather for FP1 has improved with clearing skies and a heavy wind blowing across Albert Park drying track the track.

Drivers went out on intermediates but light rain is keeping the track damp.

Daniel Ricciardo strapped on slicks and snuck in a 1m32.394s quick lap but the track is now too wet for slicks.

Still almost 1-hour to go in the session and we might see a dry track before then.

Most drivers have yet to complete a timed lap.
