AMSOIL Backing IHRA Opener In Orlando
The IHRA Drag Racing Series season-opener is scheduled for March 4-6.
AMSOIL entered its partnership with the IHRA in 2014, becoming the official oil of the racing association. The extended relationship includes the company’s first appearance as a title sponsor in the IHRA Drag Racing Series at the Nitro Nationals. AMSOIL will also serve as the class sponsor of the IHRA Nitro Funny Car class in 2016.
“AMSOIL is excited about the prospects that the 2016 IHRA season has to offer," stated Jeremy Meyer, AMSOIL race program manager. “We have been in business for more than 40 years, and the IHRA has helped us introduce our brand to a whole new market; the Orlando event promises great racing all weekend long."
Orlando Speed World Dragway joined the IHRA family in 2016 and will host its first national event under the IHRA umbrella next month. The AMSOIL Nitro Nationals will feature local sportsman racers in conjunction with professional racers. The line-up includes competition in the following classes: AMSOIL Nitro Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Mod and Nitro Motorcycles. As a bonus, the Larsen Motorsports Jet Dragsters will be onsite to make exhibition runs down the quarter-mile drag strip.
