Schumacher, Hight, Butner Lead NHRA Winternationals Qualifying

Tony Schumacher (Top Fuel), Robert Hight (Funny Car) and Bo Butner (Pro Stock) led Friday's qualifying sessions for Sunday's season-opening Circle K NHRA Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Calif.
Schumacher set the time to beat in Top Fuel with a run of 3.722 seconds at 323.66 mph in the second qualifying session to knock Clay Millican from the provisional pole. Hight led Funny Car with an ET of 3.942 seconds at 322.19 mph while Butner clocked in at 6.606 seconds at 209.43 mph to lead the Pro Stock field.
Qualifying resumes Saturday at 12:30 pm
