Daughter of BK Racing crew chief killed in car crash

The daughter of BK Racing crew chief Joe Williams, Stephanie Rembert, was killed in a "freak car accident" according to team member Roy Gangdal. The BK Racing employee has set up a Go Fund Me account for Rembert, who was the mother of two children.

According to multiple reports, the accident took place outside of Asheboro, North Carolina, and Rembert died after being airlifted to a local hospital.

As of 9 a.m. ET on Monday, the Go Fund Me had received 61 donations in 15 hours, raising a total of $6,900 of the $25,000 goal.

Williams has served as a crew chief in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series since 2011, when he made one start with Dave Blaney. For the past two seasons, he has worked at BK Racing calling the shots for Travis Kvapil, Ryan Truex, Jeb Burton and J.J. Yeley.
