Ingersoll Rand Becomes ‘Official Power Tools of IMSA’

The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and Ingersoll Rand has announced a multi-year partnership designating the global brand as the "Official Power Tools of IMSA."

The multi-faceted agreement also designates Ingersoll Rand as the "Official Power Tools of NASCAR" and as a contingency sponsor of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Touring & Weekly Series.

"Our company has been rooted in racing for decades and this partnership ensures that Ingersoll Rand will be engaged with the industry and fans for years to come," said John Evans, president of power tools at Ingersoll Rand. "This new partnership will allow us to put high performance tools into the hands of the best auto technicians in the world while interacting with a fan base that has a passion for cars."

An innovator in tool technology, Ingersoll Rand power tools have been a staple in sports car racing garages for decades. In addition to the new partnership with IMSA, Ingersoll Rand also continues its partnership with Rebel Rock Racing in the IMSA-sanctioned Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge.

"Ingersoll Rand is known for its standard for quality, performance and innovation, making this partnership a natural fit for IMSA," said David Pettit, IMSA vice president, marketing. "Professionals have relied on Ingersoll Rand products for years, matching up perfectly with our very discerning fans, teams and partners."

The 2015 IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship opens this weekend with the 53rd Rolex 24 At Daytona. The 2-hour race starts Saturday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. ET with a live FOX network telecast as part of 15 hours of live FOX Sports coverage.
