Briscoe leads final practice

NTT Data Chip Ganassi Racing's Ryan Briscoe set fast time in final practice for the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway. The session was abbreviated due to an accident involving Mikhail Aleshin, Marco Andretti and Charlie Kimball, which saw the Russian rookie get airborne into the turn 4 catch fence. Kimball and Andretti got out of their cars quickly, while Aleshin remained in his car for several minutes, before being removed with assistance from the Holmatro Safety Team. He has been airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center complaining of a sore right foot and shoulder.

Scott Dixon was second quick, with Will Power, Kimball, and James Hinchcliffe rounding out the top-5. Full results to follow…
