New Endeavor For Justin Wilson as IndyCar pilot set for Rumble in the Rockies
The formation of a really cool driving event company catering to car aficionados.
Paul Shippey and Justin Wilson recently teamed-up to form IGNITION, an event company that aims to produce high-end, exclusive driving events, starting out in Colorado this year. ‘Rumble In The Rockies’ will be the inaugural event, which runs September 2 – 4, 2014.

Our goal is to offer a two-day driving experience for owners of exotic and rare cars unlike any other," says Shippey. “Rumble In The Rockies will provide participants the chance to drive some fantastic mountain roads, mingle with celebrity drivers, enjoy fine dining and conversation, and then an opportunity to learn some performance and track driving skills from some of the fastest racing drivers on the planet.
"This is all about the experience and exclusivity, it’s not just a simple track day. We want to offer a short escape from reality into the world of automotive passion. This is for the guy or gal who wants to share their passion for driving and automotive pedigree with fellow owners and lovers of exotic and sports cars."
Indy car-star Justin Wilson shared his thoughts: – "I am really excited to partner up with Paul to create Ignition. We both have a passion for cars, driving and motorsports and want to share that passion with others. This event will give our guests the opportunity to experience that and it is our aim to provide the most enjoyable event possible."
Rumble In The Rockies will be based out of the world famous Broadmoor Hotel near CO Springs. The mountain-driving day will send owners out on a 200-mile tour of the Rockies followed by lunches, dinners and networking events. Celebrity guests will entertain guests during the meals.
Day Two will be held at Pueblo Motorsports Park and involves track lapping, coaching and an opportunity to really let loose with celeb drivers.
Space on the event is limited to 30 participants.
