ECR hits the testing trail

Ed Carpenter and the Fuzzy's Vodka team will be busy testing over the next ten days.

Firestone 600 winner Ed Carpenter will be back at the wheel of the #20 Fuzzy's Vodka/Ed Carpenter Racing Chevrolet today at Iowa Speedway in advance of the Iowa Corn 300 Presented by DeKalb. This year's race will once again be a Saturday evening affair, after being run Sunday afternoon in 2013. Carpenter, who was credited with the fastest race lap, started and finished fourth at the 7/8-mile banked oval in Newton, IA a year ago.

The Fuzzy's Vodka team will also test at the famed Milwaukee Mile this Thursday. The Verizon IndyCar series races at Milwaukee on August 17th in the ABC Supply Wisconsin 250.

Next Thursday, the team will test at Pocono Raceway on July 19th in advance of the Pocono IndyCar 500 on July 6th. The Pocono race will be the next time we see Carpenter in race action. Mike Conway, who won the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach earlier this season will be in the car for the upcoming Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston doubleheader weekend at the end of the month.
