Rolex 24 Hour 19: Corvettes continue battle for lead

Burt Frisselle and Ricky Taylor traded the lead throughout the 19th hour of competition at Daytona. Frisselle had taken over shortly after 8 a.m. in the No. 9 Action Express Corvette DP, with Taylor regaining the lead at 8:31 a.m. in the No. 10 Velocity Worldwide Corvette DP.

Christian Fittipaldi (No. 5 Action Express Corvette DP) and Scott Dixon (No. 02 Target/Telcel Ford EcoBoost/Riley) are running third and fourth, battling back from problems during the 18th hour.

Patrick Pilet leads GTLM, running seventh overall in the No. 911 Porsche North America Porsche 911 RSR. Second, 23.534 seconds back, is the No. 4 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R of Robin Liddell. Next are the two BML Team RLL BMW Z4 GTEs of Dirk Mueller (No. 56) and Andy Priaulx (No. 55), although the latter car received a penalty during the 19th hour.

Colin Braun leads PC in the No. 54 CORE autosport ORECA FLM09, while Level 5 Motorsports has built up a one-lap lead in GTD with Bill Sweedler at the wheel of the No. 555 Ferrari 458 Italia.
