Rolex Update

We’ve reached the quarter pole of the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The caution is currently out with a tire carcass in the infield section. Memo Rojas currently leads in the #01 Ganassi Ford, but will be pitting soon, and likely making way for NASCAR driver Jamie McMurray.

Max Angelleli has been turning fast times in the Wayne Taylor Racing #10 Corvette and currently sits second. IndyCar driver Justin Wilson is third in the #60 Michael Shank Racing with Curb/Agajanian Ford Eco Boost .

Kyle Larson, who will make his NASCAR debut in the #42 for Ganassi next month, recently replaced Tony Kanaan in the #02 Ganassi Ford. The young phenom had a rather difficult start as he stalled the car leaving the pits, and when he finally got rolling, violated the pit-lane speed limit. Larson served his drive-thru and currently sits in 8th position one lap down.

Sebastien Bourdais has taken over in the #5 Action Express Corvette. Christian Fittipaldi just put in a strong stint, as the #5 looks very strong so far.

Last, IndyCar driver E.J. Viso has been turning some good laps in the #78 Starworks Motorsports car. The Venezuelan currently sits sixth.
