Ticket sale for Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix starts on March 4, 2014

Formula Sochi announces the date of Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix ticket sales launch. Tickets will be available from the 4th of March 2014 – exactly 222 before the main race. Promoter’s website, which will be launched in February, is planned to become the main platform of the tickets sale.

Publication of the sales launch is the last news item of the departing year 2013, which has been a year full of bright events for Formula 1 fans. FIA Calendar publication became the landmark event, which officially confirmed the Russian Grand Prix date – October 12, 2014. Millions of Formula 1 fans from Russia put this date into their personal calendars and received a final confirmation that their dreams are coming true.

Russian Grand Prix Promoter has had an active year – a Sporting organization agreement has been signed with the national ASN – RAF, the pool of volunteers and marshals is being created, the works are being conducted to implement an automated system of monitoring and planning in collaboration with the Group of companies “Project Practice". A well-known international consultant Richard Cregan started to support Formula Sochi team.

GP2 and GP3 series support races are confirmed to take place at the autodrome in Sochi, as well as Porsche Supercup.

The Sochi autodrome construction is nearing completion. Formula Sochi 2013 demonstration races took place for the first time in September this year in the Olympic park – F1 Russian representatives – Russian F1 team Marussia, first Russian F1 driver Vitaliy Petrov and test driver of Sauber F1 team Sergey Sirotkin have visited the only Grand Prix track in Russia.

Formula 1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone, four-time F1 champion Sebastian Vettel and F1 vice-champion David Coulthard, Race Director and FIA Security Delegate Charlie Whiting also visited the autodrome and expressed a high opinion of it.

There is constant collaboration with international representatives – Sochi is regularly visited by Formula One group of companies and FIA officials – security, logistics and Formula 1 teams hospitality are among the list of topics for discussion. Intensive work continues in all directions and does not stop for a minute.
