Erebus announce timely sponsorship extension with CITIZEN

Erebus Motorsport and Citizen Watches Australia have announced a partnership extension which will continue to see the logos of the timepiece adorned on the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 race cars in the V8 Supercars Championship.

As the official timepiece partner of Erebus, CITIZEN watches are worn by the drivers, including Lee Holdsworth, and all members of staff at the track and every day of the week.

The sponsorship announcement was made in the presence of Tomoaki Imazeki CEO of Citizen Watches Australia, and Naoto Hosogaya Managing Director of Citizen Watches (H.K.) Ltd. during the final round of the V8 Supercars at the Sydney NRMA Motoring & Services 500 around the Olympic Park street track.

"We have been involved with Erebus and preceding that Stone Brothers Racing for six years and it really has provided many benefits for the CITIZEN brand," said Rod Willment Sales & Marketing Manager at Citizen Watches Australia.

"CITIZEN activates its partnership with Erebus through a retailing program which includes store promotions and getting clients close to the action at the track.

"From beginnings with the Super Chronograph watch, which is racing inspired, we have been able to promote models which bring new technology to our industry. Using our V8 partnership provides a great way to showcase technology, speed and precision, which of course is what racing is all about as well."

Erebus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison was pleased to re-confirm CITIZEN as partner in the racing operation.

"CITIZEN is a perfect example of how a partnership can really deliver for both parties," said Maddison.

"They don't simply put a logo on a car, they actively use the association to drive sales through a variety of in-store and other promotions.

"Our team proudly wears CITIZEN watches and for sure, we are always on time."
