RTL, Sky Score High Ratings With Their Belgium F1 Grand Prix Broadcasts

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded successful ratings for its broadcast of the Belgium F1 Grand Prix on Sunday," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. An average of 5.75 million viewers watched the race, which was won by Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel. The number translated into a market share of 34.9%. In the target demographic 14-49, RTL obtained a 29.3% market share. In addition, German pay-TV channel Sky attracted 400,000 viewers for its coverage from Spa.
