Rain washed out Friday NHRA qualifying

Persistent rain showers forced the NHRA to cancel Friday’s qualifying sessions for the 33rd annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals. Saturday’s two qualifying sessions are still scheduled to be contested at Atlanta Dragway. Mello Yello Drag Racing Series professional Nitro qualifying will be run at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
