Two Cars For Scuderia Corsa In Rolex 24

Giacomo Mattioli, team principal of Scuderia Corsa, has confirmed that the team will field a pair of 458 Italia GT3′s in the 2013 running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona Int’l Speedway.

Alessandro Balzan, the 2012 Ferrari Challenge champion, will share the No. 63 458 Italia GT3 with Alessandro Guidi and Marco Frezza.

The second 458 Italia entered for the Daytona effort will be raced in association with Brazil’s Via Italia Racing Team. The No. 64 will be shared by Via Italia’s Francisco “Chico" Longo, Rafa Matos, Daniel Serra and Xandinho Negrao.

“Racing in the Rolex 24 at Daytona with Ferrari combined with the talent we have put together makes me confident that Scuderia Corsa will give fans a very competitive and exciting race to watch," said Mattioli.

Mattioli also announced that Scuderia Corsa will contest the full 2013 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series season with Balzan and Guidi sharing driving duties of the No. 63 458 Italia GT3.
