F1 winter test details emerge

The F1 winter test schedule will, as expected, take the eleven remaining teams to Spain for the month of February.

According to their respective websites, the circuits in Jerez and Barcelona will again share the pre-season preparations, with the southern circuit hosting the opening session between 5-8 February, before the circus decamps to the Spanish GP venue at the Circuit de Catalunya for two subsequent tests, between 19-22 February and 28 February-3 March. The format mirrors that used in 2012, and excludes the previously favored test venue at Valencia's Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

The 2013 F1 season gets underway two weeks after the completion of the third and final session with the traditional curtain-raiser in Melbourne, Australia.

According to italiaracing.net, Sauber intends to launch its 2013 contender, the C32, on the opening day of action at Jerez.
