Ryan Newman a father

For the second time in nine days, a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver celebrated the birth of a child.

Ryan Newman’s wife, Krissie, gave birth to their daughter, Ashlyn Olivia, on Monday afternoon.

“Mom and baby are doing well," Newman tweeted after the birth of the couple’s second child.

Newman was the second driver this month whose wife gave birth the day after a Cup race. Kevin and DeLana Harvick celebrated the birth of their son, Keelan Paul, on July 8.
