AT&T signs with Red Bull team

Tele giant AT&T has joined forces with the double world champions from 2010 and 2011, Red Bull, as one of their sponsors.

The 7th largest US company is no stranger to the world of Formula One, as they were the title sponsor for the Williams team for several years. But the link-up between the Red Bull team and AT&T already has a bit of history, as the team has been a customer at AT&T for three years already. The company will provide advanced network services, focused o a high bandwidth link between the field team and the HQ team.

Frank Jules, the president of AT&T global business solutions:

“Red Bull Racing has the reputation for being one of the most innovative teams in Formula One, ‘leading from the front’ and I believe their use of AT&T technology is further proof of that. AT&T has more than a decade of involvement with Formula One and this agreement shows how our technology can provide a real value added component to such a highly competitive sport where fractions of a second can be the difference between success and failure. Our high speed technology will play a key role in supporting Red Bull Racing during the high pressure environment of a race weekend as well as give the team the digital infrastructure they need to run a nimble, savvy and responsive enterprise."

Team principal Christian Horner said:

“Red Bull Racing is excited to work with an innovative, global and reputable brand such as AT&T. We were already an AT&T customer and, as such, we have experienced the real benefits of the solutions they offer so we now look forward to building on those technologies that will benefit us on track and during grand prix weekends."
