Alesi admits IndyCar racing much harder than F1

Jean Alesi – eyes wide open

(About his Indianapolis 500 debut): "This is an amazing experience for me. I'm 47 years old, and I have learned more in one week here than I did in my entire Formula One career." Jean Alesi comparing qualifying at Indy at over 210 mph average vs. his entire F1 career.

[Editor's Note: Rubens Barrichello had similar comments. Each lap at Indy appears to be four simple corners, but because it is a low-downforce track, it is one of the hardest tracks to drive, and to be perfect for 500 long miles warrants extreme focus for over 3 hours.]
