Toyota tests hybrid race car ahead of LeMans

TOYOTA Racing conducted a trouble-free functionality test of its new TS030 HYBRID chassis at Magny-Cours in France.

With Alex Wurz and Nicolas Lapierre at the wheel, the new chassis which features planned updates to the aerodynamics and hybrid system intended for the car’s first race.

Between them, they completed 81 laps during the one-day functionality test yesterday, which allows the team to resume its testing programme with confidence in the coming days ahead of its first race, the Le Mans 24 Hours in which two TS030 HYBRIDs will compete.
