Mothers Polishes Returns As Sponsor of Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach

As the Official Car Polish Sponsor of the 38th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 13-15, Mothers® Polishes/Waxes/Cleaners is embracing a long-standing tradition of participating in enthusiast events that have been instrumental in its history.

On Sunday of race weekend, fans can see nearly 250 fast, exotic cars such as Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches and Lotuses – many of them automotive classics – in the free Mothers® Exotic Car Paddock, located across the Firestone Bridge between turns 9 and 11.

The Mothers Exotic Car Paddock will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

And, all weekend long, fans can visit the Mothers booth in the free Lifestyle Expo to see product demonstrations.

“It’s a long-time dream to be able to drive a car competitively," said Dennis Holloway, regarding Mothers® involvement in motorsports. “It solidifies the fact that we are car guys. We like to get in the trenches. We like to lay on our back and change oil. We’re out there doing it."

“The Mothers Exotic Car Paddock is a ‘must-see’ for race fans coming to the Grand Prix," said Jim Michaelian, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. “It’s perfect for a between-races break, and we’re happy Mothers Polish is making it a part of their ongoing Grand Prix involvement."

Mothers got its start at the grass-roots level by selling its metal polishes at car shows, cruise nights and races nearly two generations ago. Since then, Mothers has enjoyed a rich history of involvement in all aspects of motorsports by providing product support to teams in Formula Drift, NASCAR, USAR, ASA, NHRA, SCCA, NASA and other series, and is also a supporting sponsor of Robert Davis Racing (RDR), campaigning Mazda RX8s in the NASA Performance Touring class.

Mothers® offers a wide array of finish care products under its California Gold®, FX, Reflections®, PowerBall®, Marine and Professional lines. Go to www.mothers.com for information on all of these products, along with a host of car care tips in the online Mothers® Detail Guide at www.detailguide.com and the Wax Forum at www.waxforum.com.
