At the rate they are going, their fan base will die of old age before long. Both NASCAR and IndyCar are being passed over by the young generation as their fan base become graybeards. From Nielsen, the average age of TV viewers is shown below. Of all sports, the only one with a higher average age is the PGA at 56.4 in 2011:
