Earnhardt Ganassi Racing signs Japanese American development driver

Kyle Larson, a 19-year-old Japanese American driver who will race for the NASCAR Drive For Diversity team in 2012, has signed a development contract with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing. Larson captured 22 wins last year, including victories in the World of Outlaws series, all three U.S. Auto Club national divisions and the American Sprint Car Series.

In one night last year, Larson swept the races in the Midget, Sprint and Silver Crown divisions at Eldora Speedway. Larson will drive in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Series in 2012 for the diversity program’s Rev Racing.
