Franchitti wins IndyCar title by default

With Will Power taking out in the big crash at the beginning of IndyCar finale at Las Vegas, point leader Dario Franchitti has won his third straight IndyCar title and 4th in five years.

He was highly critical of the 'pack' racing that IndyCar is trying to copy NASCAR on. "This track is not suitable for these cars. The cars are all the same and you cannot get away from the pack so drivers take unnecessary chances going 4-wide trying to gain an advantage. I just hope no one was hurt."
