The resident of Carmel's Village of West Clay met the magazine's criteria by having an Indiana's driver's license. He said he was never asked about having a girlfriend. Turns out Laken Kurtz — his girlfriend — is fine with him being profiled.
"Everybody is getting a good laugh out of it," he said.
Rahal, 22 and a native of Ohio, said he agreed to the exposure because it benefited his career and IndyCar, and he didn't have to be photographed without his shirt as Tomas Scheckter and Marco Andretti have at various times. "I'm not that type of person," he said. "I'm a quieter guy."
Rahal has lived in Central Indiana since December.
