GM sales up 20 percent in Sept.

General Motors Co. today reported total sales of 207,145 vehicles in September, a 20-percent increase compared with September 2010. Retail deliveries were up 19 percent compared with the same month a year ago and accounted for 74 percent of GM sales. Deliveries to fleet customers increased 22 percent.

Mazda North American Operations today reported September, 2011 sales of 25,521 vehicles, up 37.4 percent versus September, 2010 (up 32.1 percent on a Daily Selling Rate basis). Through the end of September, 2011 year-to-date sales are up 9.5 percent versus last year with 191,315 vehicles sold.
