Traffic woes in Baltimore

Thursday afternoon it took one of our staff about 45-50 minutes to go a couple of miles from the Convention Center to the theater where Tony Kanaan was showing “Senna". Tonight, it took him over an hour to drive 8 miles to his hotel. This was in spite of the best efforts of an army of Baltimore’s finest doing traffic control.

If the interest on the part of the media is any indication – over 700 media requests – then this race could be one of the best-attended in a long time. However, with the memories of Kentucky’s recent NASCAR event still on our mind (and in the news today), I’m sure that this will be a major topic of conversation.
