2012 IndyCar engine running in Italy

The sound of IndyCar's 2012 equipment change was heard this week in Parma, Italy, as Dallara officials started the first new chassis with a turbocharged engine. There were no major issues.

The car was equipped with a Honda engine because Chevrolet and Lotus do not have new powerplants ready to install. The first official test of the car is set for Aug. 8 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington. Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon will drive it. Indy Star
