BMW to present concept DTM car

BMW is going to present a concept DTM car during the Munich Olympic Stadium event on the 15th of July.

"Although we will not be competing in 2011, we want to use this opportunity to give DTM fans and BMW Motorsport followers a taste of what they can look forward to next season. For this reason, this event is the logical venue to unveil a BMW M3 DTM Concept Car," said Jens Marquardt, head of BMW Motorsport from July the 1st this year.

BMW started development of the new car in October last year after the announcement of the German manufacturer's return to DTM in 2012.

BMW is going to run three teams in the DTM next year, including Schnitzer, RBM and RMG. The teams are expected to start testing the new car shortly.

So far the driver line-up has not yet been revealed.
