No testing for HRT’s 2011 car

The new HRT F111

(GMM) HRT will not test its newly-launched 2011 car. The F111 was rolled into the Barcelona pitlane on Friday but not tested due to some missing parts.

And the Spanish team said it will also not run on Saturday – the final day of pre-season testing – "due to a customs problem".

Hispania announced that the car's "dampers were not released by customs".

"The result of this is that we can't run tomorrow. This is life and we will overcome this problem," said team boss Colin Kolles.

This weekend was originally scheduled to be the opening race of the season, in Bahrain. The season opener will now be held in Australia in two weeks.
