Franchitti to appear at Canadian motorsports show

Motorsports fans will have an opportunity to meet one of the world's most successful racers at the Canadian Motorsports Expo. Three-time IZOD IndyCar Series champion and two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Dario Franchitti will be at the CME to participate in a fan Q&A / Autograph Session on Jan. 22.

"I'm really excited about coming to Toronto and the Canadian Motorsports Expo, in January", Franchitti said. "I always have a great time racing there each summer and it will be good to connect with Canadian racing fans during a weekend when I don't have to focus on trying to win a race. I'm looking forward to talking with the fans and signing autographs at the CME."

Throughout its existence, the Canadian Motorsports Expo has been a showcase for celebrity racer appearances, from Canada and around the world.

"Racing fans around the world know about the Indy 500 and the IndyCar Series," said the CME's David Weber. "Canadian fans have a special connection to the series because of our rich history of excellent IndyCar Series events and the fact that Canada has produced so many top drivers in the series. We're honored to be able to have Dario – a true champion at the top of his profession – appear at the Canadian Motorsports Expo."
