Kingdom Racing backs Hamilton effort

For the third consecutive year, Kingdom Racing (www.kingdomracing.net) has joined forces with veteran driver Davey Hamilton and will partner with Luczo Dragon/de Ferran Motorsports for Hamilton’s 2010 IZOD IndyCar season, it was announced today.

Hamilton will make three starts this season beginning with the Indianapolis 500 May 30. It will be his first multiple race season since 2001 when he suffered career-threatening injuries in a horrific crash at Texas Motor Speedway. He made his remarkable IndyCar return at the 2007 Indy 500 and launched his partnership with Kingdom Racing a year later at the 2008 Indy 500.

“I’m very happy to have such a great partnership with Kingdom Racing," Hamilton said. “We have formed a great relationship for the last three years and we’re fortunate to continue to grow together with Luczo Dragon/de Ferran Motorsports."

Hamilton brings a wealth of experience and a second car to the upstart Luczo Dragon/de Ferran Motorsports team. His teammate, Raphael Matos, is tied for 10th in the IZOD championship standings heading into Indy.

“We are very happy to be part of the Luczo Dragon/de Ferran Motorsports team and to continue our strong partnership with Davey," Kingdom Racing owner/founder George Del Canto said. “We look forward to seeing what God is going to do this May."

About Kingdom Racing
Kingdom Racing was formed with a unique mission: To Deliver God’s Word through Motorsports. In 2008, Kingdom Racing made history as the first faith-vision team to ever compete in the Indianapolis 500, with Davey Hamilton finishing 14th. The team’s goal is to compete on a full season basis and, combined with the help of national Christian entities, reach one million men for Jesus Christ. Through their third consecutive Indy 500 appearance this year, the team expects to gain more national attention and attract partners to execute this mission.
