Massa tests kart in Brazil

(GMM) Felipe Massa this week returned to a race track for the first time since sustaining serious head injuries at the Hungaroring in July.

The Ferrari driver drove a competitive go-kart at a circuit in Sao Paulo but stopped when it began to rain, the German news agency SID reports.

"He drove six laps and afterwards felt normal," 28-year-old Massa's Brazilian friend and stock car driver Thiago Camilo said.

It is believed his next move will be to Fiat's state of the art driver simulator. Ferrari team boss Stefano Domenicali last weekend refused to rule out a return for Massa before November's Abu Dhabi season finale.
