Button says he wants to stay at Brawn

(GMM) Jenson Button says he wants to remain with the Brawn team in 2010.

It has been reported that the Briton and world championship leader, having agreed a pay-cut for 2009 after the Honda management buyout, is now pushing for more money for next season and is yet to be made a satisfactory offer.

It is also expected that Nico Rosberg is headed to the Brackley based outfit for 2010, which would mean that either Button or his teammate and F1's oldest driver Rubens Barrichello, 37, must move aside.

Button is quoted as saying by Germany's Auto Bild Motorsport: "I am completely happy here. At Brawn there is a great atmosphere.

"We have been through a lot together and now finally we are at the top," said the Englishman, who joined the outfit when it was BAR in 2003 before it became the Japanese manufacturer Honda's works team.

"I would like to stay," Button explained. "I also believe that we will continue to be strong next year because we have the best team boss — Ross (Brawn) will make sure we are still at the front."
