Vettel not happy ahead of Italian GP

(GMM) Sebastian Vettel was not happy after qualifying ninth for the Italian grand prix.

The Red Bull driver is at least a place ahead of his teammate Mark Webber, but he is also two rows behind the championship-leading Brawns, who revealed on Saturday that they qualified with heavy one-stop strategy fuel loads.

"That was not very good," the German told his country's broadcaster RTL. "Now we have to see how heavy the others are but I think we needed to do a bit better."

Rubens Barrichello, the highest placed Brawn in fifth place and just 15 thousands ahead of championship leader Jenson Button, said with a less heavy fuel load he could have been on pole.

"But strategically we had to consider the pace of the KERS cars off the line and so we put a lot of fuel in the car and focused on what was right for our race," said the Brazilian.

It is also possible that Heikki Kovalainen is heavy on fuel, after qualifying eight tenths behind his pole-sitting McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton but remaining very bullish about the race from the second row of the grid.

"My focus for tomorrow is to win this race — and I think that's a realistic target," said the Finn.
