Montezemolo certain Massa to be fit for 2010

(GMM) Felipe Massa is certain to be back in top form at the wheel of his Ferrari at the 2010 season opener, team president Luca di Montezemolo said at Monza on Thursday.

"He'll be 100 per cent ready. I heard from him an hour ago and everything's going great in his recovery. He'll be in perfect shape," the Italian is quoted as saying by the news agency ANSA.

Massa, 28, had plastic surgery earlier this week to repair facial bone damage sustained in his Budapest qualifying crash.

Montezemolo on Thursday also said he hopes to see Michael Schumacher renew his F1 comeback when also fully recovered from injury, and refused to link Spanish bank Santander's arrival as a major new team sponsor with speculation Fernando Alonso will race a Ferrari in 2010.
