Ray Evernham and Buddy Parrott guests on Wind Tunnel

UPDATE A reminder that Ray Evernham and Buddy Parrott will be the featured guests on Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain tonight, Sunday, July 26.

07/24/09 This Sunday, July 26, Dave Despain will talk with former CUP team owner and current short track owner, Ray Evernham. Dave paid a visit to Ray last week at his East Lincoln Speedway dirt track in Stanley, North Carolina to talk about Ray’s transition from being a CUP team owner to a dirt track promoter. And at the end of the night, Dave got a first-hand look at the racing surface as Ray himself took Dave for a ride in his 2-seat sprint car!

Retired Sprint CUP crew chief, Buddy Parrott, will also be a featured guest on Wind Tunnel this Sunday. During his career in NASCAR, Parrott was involved in some of the sport’s most memorable moments. As crew chief, he earned 21 wins with Darrell Waltrip, tuned Richard Petty to his 200th victory, took Derrike Cope to victory lane in the infamous 1990 Daytona 500, and won 10 races with Rusty Wallace in 1993 during a tough championship battle with Dale Earnhardt. Parrott ended his career with Roush Racing in 2001 when he was the organization’s Performance Development Manager.

Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain airs Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm ET live on SPEED.
