Coulthard back in Red Bull reserve role

(GMM) David Coulthard has stepped back into the role as the reserve driver for Red Bull's two formula one teams.

With the energy drink outfits' former reserve Jaime Alguersuari moving into the full time Toro Rosso seat this weekend and beyond, his predecessor Brendon Hartley has opted instead to focus on his racing pursuits in F3 and the Renault World Series.

Before Hartley was granted a FIA superlicense earlier this season, Coulthard fulfilled the reserve role, and the 38-year-old Scot confirmed in Budapest on Friday that he is once again on standby for the Red Bull teams.

Coulthard, who retired last year after nearly 250 grands prix and 13 wins, already travels to each race as a team consultant and commentator for British television.
