Motorsports show set for Friday, Saturday in A.C.

No remote starter will be needed to rev up Motorsports 2009, the 24th annual race car and trade show running Friday and Saturday at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano and Dave Blaney will sign autographs, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champ Johnny Benson will greet fans, and numerous other racing celebrities will appear at the show.

Nearly 200 racing vehicles will be on display and more than 300 exhibitors will offer products and services for racers and fans.

A tribute to Trenton Speedway will include Ray Evernham, who competed in the final event at that track and was crew chief for NASCAR champ Jeff Gordon before becoming a racing analyst for ESPN and recently buying a track in the Carolinas.

At 7:30 p.m. each evening, midget auto racing will take place in nearby Boardwalk Hall for a separate admission.
