Select ticket prices at Talladega Superspeedway to drop

Talladega Superspeedway just gave its fans another reason to help celebrate its 40th Anniversary, by reducing more than 20,000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets in the least desirable grandstands to only $40 each. Beginning January 8, tickets in the Gadsden and Lincoln grandstands will be available at this phenomenal low price for both the April 26 Aaron's 499 and the Nov.1 AMP Energy 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

"We recognize the difficult economic conditions our fans are facing, so to help we are thrilled to offer our fans a $40 ticket to a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race," said Talladega Superspeedway President Rick Humphrey. "In 40 years of racing, no other racetrack has matched Talladega Superspeedway for sheer speed or thrilling competition."

The Gadsden and Lincoln Grandstand tickets normally retail for $70 and $75 respectively, creating a savings of more than 40 percent for race fans.

"This is a great opportunity for us to thank our current fans and welcome new fans to an exciting year of racing at Talladega Superspeedway," said Humphrey. "There's no better bang for your buck than a $40 ticket to Talladega Superspeedway."

In addition to a new lower ticket price, fans attending the April 24 – 26 Aaron's Dream Weekend and the Oct. 30 – Nov. 1 AMP Energy 500 Weekend will find that some of the best things at Talladega are still FREE. With more than 15,000 free campsites in three overnight parks, free day parking on track property and a free Kid's Zone in the display area, Talladega Superspeedway is making life easy for race fans during tough economic times.

In 2009, Talladega Superspeedway proudly celebrates forty years of the most competitive racing in NASCAR. While the track has seen changes made to the cars that circle its high-banks, the surface that they race on and the grandstands that thousands of fans fill twice a year, one constant remains; Talladega Superspeedway is authentic NASCAR racing at its finest.

Race fans should make plans now to experience part of Talladega's history in 2009 during the triple-header, Aaron's Dream Weekend, April 24-26, featuring the ARCA RE/MAX Series, the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
