Brawn wants equal engine performance

Honda F1 team principal Ross Brawn wants an equalization of engine performance throughout the engine manufacturers, saying that the engine freeze has left engines with lower outputs with too much of a disadvantage long enough, and that their should be subtle changes to bring them up to level with stronger engines.

"Our situation on record is that we think the concept of a frozen engine without some parity system is not very fair," Ross Brawn shared with 'autosport'. "It is partly because of the time involved."

"If you said, right we are going to freeze the engine, you guys did a great job and you will get an advantage for a year and then we will find some way to bring it all together, I think everyone would understand that."

This may or not be related to his new team not designing a V8 engine adequately enough to compete with the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari.
