Dominik Jackson to drive Tottenham Hotspur entry

Tottenham Hotspur was the only team not represented at last night's draw. That's because their pilot for this weekend was making a last minute dash from the UK.

With regular pilot Duncan Tappy unable to compete this weekend, the team had recruited Brazilian ex-Formula 1 driver Enrique Bernoldi to fill in this weekend. However, Bernoldi suffered a hand injury at home in Brazil earlier in the week and is now a last minute withdrawal.

Spur's reserve driver Dominik Jackson has now been given the task of driving the club's blue and white machine this weekend.

Jackson undertook a lot of the shakedown runs for Superleague Formula when new cars were delivered to the teams including two days running at Barcelona and an additional run at Donington Park.

The ex-Formula BMW and Formula Palmer Audi driver now gets the chance to race the 750 horsepower, V12 machine at Estoril.

"I was coming down to Estoril to watch, but now I'll get the chance to drive," Jackson said. "It is a great opportunity for me. Most of the running I have done in the past has been bedding in brakes and gearboxes, this weekend will be very different."

"I'm really looking forward to racing for Spurs this weekend. Duncan has done a great job putting the car on the podium at the last round and I hope to finish the weekend with another strong points haul for the club."
